Join us Saturday November 4th for the internationally acclaimed scholar historian divine pair Ashra and Merira Kwesi. Both scholars will provide power packed presentations full of visual documentation that connects historical realities with modern themes. Communiversity is a term coined by Ashra Kwesi. This community gathering will be opened with hip hop edutainment by GMAC and opening remarks by Dennis “Imhotep” Boatright II, Founder and Director of Center for Pan African Studies. Tickets to this dual lecture are $30 in advance. This cooperative economics contribution via ticket purchase helps to reimburse the cost of air travel, ground transportation, lodging accommodations, meals and speaker honorarium.  There will also be an Afrian Marketplace where local vendors will provide handmade items, books, art, food and much more. Doors open at 2:00 pm Saturday Novermber 4th.
